Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is probably best known for his drawings and posters of the decadent night-life in Paris during the late 1800. These images are amazing and always enjoyable to look at. Lately though, I’ve been flipping through his circus scenes.
To be honest, I’m not really even a fan of the circus. But Toulouse-Lautrec’s paintings and drawings are fantastic. I think it is because, with these images, it almost feels like I am there watching the performers practice for their big gig. It is a behind the scenes look, and I actually feel like I might be participating somehow. Plus, the action and power of the animals… cripes, the horses are beautiful!
